Quick, Easy, and Delicious Camping Recipes
Cooking is something that interests me more than any other activity. On every camping trip, I try new recipes and this time I concentrated on some quick and easy recipes. To have a relaxing camping experience, I prepared simple meals with budget-friendly ingredients.
- Cheese Toastie
During my recent camping trip, I prepared cheese toast using a brazier as a starter meal. I had bread, cheese, tomato, and onion, so I went ahead with those ingredients only. The bread toasted perfectly, and I added some brie and chopped chives to enhance the taste.
I felt veggies would add a freshness to the taste. Therefore, I chopped an onion to add to it. This recipe turned out to be delicious and made a great meal option for my further trips.
- Seabass with Samphire
I was camping near the coast and fish was the main ingredient in the main course. I splashed out a seabass on the first night during camping. I cooked the fish over the fire, stuffed the cavity with a few slices of lemon, and seasoned it with pepper and salt. After that, I wrapped it in a foil for grilling. I grilled it for about 20 minutes and checked in between to make sure that it is cooked properly. I wilted some samphire with butter in a pan and served the mouth-watering fish.
- Tuna Pasta and Pan-Fried Mackerel
Tuna pasta is one of my staple meals at home. It is best for lunch and an evening tea. I cooked tuna pasta and garnished it with some chives as I did not have basil or parsley.
Apart from tuna pasta, I also cooked mackerel. The mackerel that I cooked came with herb butter. For this, I only required a pan and gas stove. So, I fried the mackerel in a pan and enjoy the delicious tuna pasta and pan-fried mackerel.
- Pork Fillet Stroganoff with Baked Sweet Potato
I wanted to prepare a simple meal that can be cooked easily. Then, I remembered my previous recipe in which I had whipped up a pork stroganoff. I decided to recreate the same recipe but unfortunately, neither the recipe was with me nor did I had access to the internet. So, I tried to remember of the top of my head.
I put some chopped onions, mushroom, and pork fillet in a pan. I added soured cream, salt, pepper, and a little water to prevent the dish from drying out. I left the dish on a low heat and allowed it to cook. Meanwhile, I had sweet corn for starters.
I thought baked sweet potatoes will taste amazing with stroganoff so, I wrapped some of them in a foil and baked it for approximately 45 minutes on the campfire. I don’t remember how much time it exactly took. Every 10 minutes, I kept on turning and checking them to see whether they were cooked or not. Finally, pork stroganoff was served with butter.
These are the 4 easy and go-to camping recipes that are fun to try and delicious to eat.
