Our latest brand: Highlander!
Our latest addition to our ever-growing list of brands is Highlander! Highlander was founded by Bahram Golzari on 5th April, 1985 after he purchased Leith Army Stores, a supplier of military clothing which had gone into liquidation. In addition to the military clothing, they began to manufacture outdoor clothing which was also tough and affordable.
Now over 30 years old, Highlander produces more than two thousand products and was an official partner of both the London Olympics in 2012 and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014.
In our range we have just shy of thirty products consisting of footwear, hats, gloves, socks, neck warmers and accessories such as torches.
The Men’s Task Force 1 combat boots are one of our most popular items, they’re made from leather, use 600D polyester and have a side zip, a shock absorbing midsole as well as a cleated outsole for slip resistance. The Task Force 2 boots for boys shares many similar traits to its adult counterpart, with the addition of an oil-resistant sole.
We have three hats available currently, the first being the blue urban camouflage beanie which is made from one hundred percent acrylic. The remaining two, the ‘Puma Trapper Hat’ and the ‘Cougar Winter Cap’ both have military camouflage and have a polyester fleece lining and are both waterproof and breathable. The cap is made solely from polyester whilst the hat is made from a fifty/fifty split of nylon and polyester. We also have a balaclava, ski mask and neck warmer.
Gloves are another prominent item in our range and we have a few different styles. The ‘Dawson’ gloves are windproof and breathable and have an elasticated wrist. Other examples include the ‘Canmore’ fingerless mitts as well as the ‘Tech’ gloves in either black or pink which are touch screen friendly – very helpful if you want to use your phone and keep your hands warm at the same time!
The remainder of the range consists of socks and torches. For example, the ‘Glenshee’ ski socks which are made from wool, acrylic and polyamide to keep your feet warm and add breathability. Included in our selection of six Highlander torches is the ‘Gallus’ foldable torch which can be used as a spotlight or a lantern and can last for up to eight hours.
